Calcium Stearate is not soluble in water, cold ethanol and ether, soluble in hot benzene, benzene and terebinth and other organic solvent, slightly soluble in hot ethanol and ether. Slowly decompose when heated to 400 ℃, and flammable. When meeting strong acid decompose into stearic acid and calcium salt, has hygroscopicity.
